Q. Why should I work for 247 Professional Health?

Q. What type of placements can I enjoy

A. We provide services to Nursing Homes, Residential Homes, LDD Homes, NHS and private hospitals, HM Prison, Industry and Domiciliary Care settings.

Q. What qualifications do I need to register?

A. As a Care Assistant you do not need any formal qualifications although an NVQ in Care is desirable, as well as a willingness and enthusiasm to undertake the mandatory training courses provided and NVQ’s

Q. How do I register?

A. It’s easy “ just contact the nearest located office to you and, in most cases we will send you an application form. We will advise you about what documents you need to bring to register and arrange a registration interview with you.

Q. CRB Check?

A. All staff will be required to undertake a CRB check before starting work. The CRB check costs £40 that can be paid by credit card you will get a copy of the CRB report.

Q. What training is provided?

A. We provide the mandatory and skills for care training courses e.g. Moving and Handling, First Aid, Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and Fire Safety (can vary between branches). All of these can be completed during your induction period, except Moving and Handling which must be completed before working for 247 Professional Health. If you have already completed these courses and can produce a valid certificate you will be exempt. We are also a national NVQ centre and, depending on the agency, can provide NVQ’s in both care and business administration. Extra courses also currently offered include Abuse Awareness, Principles of care and Venapuncture. However this list is not exhaustive, we can cater for any of your training needs.

Q. Can I work hours to suit me?

A. Of course. The beauty of working for an agency is that you work when you are available. As long as you phone in your availability on a weekly basis we will contact you when shifts come in that match your availability.
